I started Biker Barre on Capitol Hill with the goal of making fitness fun, even for people who don’t like to workout. Teaching is one of my favorite things to do and I am thrilled to be offering a new format that I designed specifically with private classes in mind.
Using my 12 years of experience teaching and training other instructors to teach barre, and my formal yoga training, I have refined many of the elements and principles of barre and incorporated them into yoga sequences and postures that will strengthen every part of your body and keep you from ever getting bored.
The result is a form-focused hour-long class that is intense enough for you to see and feel noticeable changes while eliminating the kinds of workarounds that cheat you out of getting the most out of the work you are doing and make you more sore than you need to be. Every class is “bespoke” and tailored to your needs on any particular day so that you never waste time doing things that aren’t right for your body or past the point of effectiveness. My goal is to give you tools to make every workout you do even better, whether it’s with me, on a video, or in a giant group class.
Private classes are $175 for up to 5 people. If you are interested in a group lesson, I am happy to open any appointment you have booked to other people who may be interested and on my social media channels. Classes will use a yoga mat and weights, and can be held anywhere that is mutually convenient - including outside, weather permitting.
